02Price

The price of each experience is shown on its own page, in Japanese yen and including consumption tax.

A price is a flat rate for the group up to the number of guests stated. Where an additional charge per guest applies beyond that number, it is shown on the same page. Optional extras are priced individually and shown before you confirm.

03Costs you pay separately

Unless the experience page says otherwise, the price does not include transport to and from the meeting point, entrance fees to temples or shrines visited on your own account, food and drink outside the experience, or personal expenses.

Gratuities are never expected and never required.

04How to pay

Payment is taken through our booking platform when the booking is confirmed, by credit or debit card. We do not see or store your card details.

For an enquiry-based booking — the temple and residence venues, and groups above the listed size — we quote you first and take payment once you accept the quote.

Bank transfer is available on request for partner and corporate bookings.

05When you pay

In full at the time of confirmation, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

06When the experience takes place

On the date and time confirmed in writing. A booking is confirmed only when we send that confirmation; until then no date is held for you.

07Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation charges depend on the experience and on how far ahead you cancel. The full schedule is set out in section 06 of our Terms of Use.

In summary, the same schedule applies to every experience: free to cancel 15 days or more before, 30% from 14 days before, 50% from 7 days before, and 100% within 24 hours of the start. Where a venue or performer requires a non-refundable deposit, we tell you the amount and the date before you confirm.

If we cancel — for weather, illness or any other reason — you receive a full refund, or an alternative date if you prefer.

Refunds are returned by the original payment method, normally within 10 business days.

08Other conditions

Some venues set a minimum or maximum group size, and some experiences have an age restriction. These are shown on the experience page.

Our full terms are set out in the Terms of Use, and how we handle your information in the Privacy Policy.
